Techsmith Smart Playet

Not so smart - app still isnt working!

THIS IS THE WORST APP EVER!!!!!!

I have downloaded a lot of apps but this is by far the absolute worst app i have ever downloaded.

Doesnt work

I keep getting redirected to the App Store every time I try to watch a video.

Xxx

Horrible. Cant get it to play

Yay! Then Nay!

Upon first download and use, the app played the first quantitative research video just fine. Then when preparing for the next weeks class several days later, I tried to watch the next quant/resh video and it would never load it to play. Then it kept defaulting to its download location in the App Store. What started out as a promising app appears to be a dud. Needs more work!

Needs Update

When asked to open video in app, defaults to App Store. Please fix! Thank you :)

Not working

Keeps directing me to the App Store to download app but I already downloaded it. The video is not uploading to this app

Doesnt work.

Simply put this does not work at all. I try to play a video in Safari and a prompt comes up asking if I would like to switch apps. But before I can click on anything, I am immediately sent to the App Store to download the app. Which Ive already done. Even then, if I click open it doesnt remember the video I wanted to see. And there is no way to add one. Complete waste of time.

Doesnt work whatsoever.

The app itself says that whenever youre on a cite and there is content that you need the app to play, the app will open up. No such thing happens. When content on whatever cite youre on gives you the prompt to open the app, all the link in the prompt does is take you to the app store to download the app. And the app itself doesnt let you manually add videos or links either, so back to square one again. Youre left with a completely defunct app and no way to play the videos online.

Worst app of all history

Just a terrible app. If you wanna watch the video its fine, but any basic functionality past there is unheard of.

Doesnt work!

It simply doesnt work as advertised... What a waste of time!

Terrible app

Didnt work. We followed all the directions and it lead to a dead link. We shouldnt need to watch a hokey video before we use the app. The user interface seems very antiquated. If I could just get the app to open my video Id get to see exactly how wonderful you say your app is:)

Crap in an app box

This app "worked" liked just like any video player app... Nothing special... After the first use it stopped working and as the other reviews state it is now a waste of space in my phone and Im stuck having to watch the videos for my A&P class on my laptop and not with the convince of listening to it on the car ride, bus, or even when Im at the store... fix your app.. It is a basic app that shouldnt be this crappy

Really bad app

Crashes every time I try to use it, it would be pretty useful if it actually worked

Will Not Play Anything but...

The only thing this app will play is the introduction video. It does not play any of its own NASA videos or the Avanquest scanner video demo. As of this moment the app will launch but will not play anything but its own intro video.

Great at playing only the intro video

Plays nothing but the intro video. Nothing is intuitive about the design. The only page I can use is the history page, which only contains the intro. No directions on how to upload other videos. When my school prompts me to open a video in the smart player, it goes to App Store. Then it redirects to the app. Then it plays the intro video, and that only. Worthless.

Wont play anything but the intro!

Frustrating. I cant watch a video subscription I paid for. Better fix this quick.

Only plays intro video

Like other reviewers have noted, it only plays the intro video, with no information on how to play anything else. This complaint has been out there for a while now. At what point will you actually fix the problem, TechSmith?
